Pecan Pie





Pecan Pie for Restaurants


Servings:

Makes 6 pies

Cooking Time:

Prep: 5 minutes, Cook: 30-35 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 gallon Karo Syrup
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 lb. butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 ½ cans pecan pieces (coffee sized cans)
  • 2 ½ cups brown sugar
  • 6 frozen pie shells

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 350° F.
  • Mix all of the ingredients together well.
  • Add the mixture to the frozen pie shells
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until they rise - note that they will not rise much. Put a toothpick in the center and if it comes out clean, it's done.

This is a recipe I used in restaurants and makes 6 pies at once. You do not want the pies to crack, if they crack or split they are overcooked.
