Simple Cream Cheese Butter Cake

Prep: 15 minutes, Cook: 35 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 box of yellow cake mix
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 8 oz. cream cheese square
  • 1 box of 10X (powdered sugar)
  • 1 stick of butter (softened)
  • 13 x 9 x 2 pan (lasagna pan)

Instructions:

  • In a large mixing bowl; or preferably if you have one, a mixer; mix the butter, the cake mix and 1 egg thoroughly, but it will still be a little clumpy, that's ok!
  • In a separate mixing bowl, or again, a mixer; mix the cream cheese, the sugar, and the remaining 2 eggs, until creamy.
  • Grease the lasagna pan with some extra butter to make sure it won't stick, or use wax paper and cover the bottom of the pan.
  • Now spread the cake mix into the lasagna pan, making sure to get it into the corners of the pan. You'll have to use your hands as the mix won't be very wet.
  • Once the mix is spread out evenly, pour the cream cheese topping over top an spread evenly.
  • Bake at 350º for 30-35 minutes. Test with a toothpick to see if the middle is completely cooked.
  • Let it cool, and serve!

This can easily be served all by itself and taste delicious, but you could also serve this with some fruit, like a peach topping! Garnish with a few sprigs of mint leaves.
