Classic Pecan Pie

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1 cup dark corn syrup
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup pecan pieces
  • 1 pie shell, regular depth

Instructions:

  • Pre-heat the oven to 375° F.
  • Beat together the sugar, corn syrup and the melted butter until smooth.
  • Add the eggs and pecans to the mixture and then pour it into the pie shell.
  • Place the pie shell on a cookie sheet and bake for 45 minutes or until firm in the middle.

You can serve this Southern dessert in any season, and time of day!
