Classic Pecan Pie

Ingredients:
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted
- 1 cup dark corn syrup
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup pecan pieces
- 1 pie shell, regular depth
Instructions:
- Pre-heat the oven to 375° F.
- Beat together the sugar, corn syrup and the melted butter until smooth.
- Add the eggs and pecans to the mixture and then pour it into the pie shell.
- Place the pie shell on a cookie sheet and bake for 45 minutes or until firm in the middle.
You can serve this Southern dessert in any season, and time of day!
