Butter Balls

Ingredients:
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups or 500 ml brown sugar
- 2 cups or 500 ml water
- 1 tsp cardamom
- Refined oil for pan frying, enough to cover the dough balls in your pan
Instructions:
- Mix the flour and butter well.
- Prepare small rounded balls out of the dough.
- Heat the refined oil in a frying pan and deep fry the balls until they turn brown.
- Heat the water and add 500 ml of sugar or brown sugar powder and prepare a thick syrup.
- Add one tea spoonful of cardamom powder and stir well.
- Add the fried balls in to the syrup and allow to settle for 15 minutes.
- Serve hot or cold.
